We want to be completely honest about what Sohlara is, and what it is not. It matters for your safety, and for your trust in us. Please take a minute to read this.
Sohlara is a wellbeing service. We help you understand your burnout, give you a structured plan of practices and habits to recover, and, on some plans, connect you with licensed professionals.
Think of it as support and structure for the everyday work of getting your energy back, built on published research about burnout.
Being clear here protects you. Sohlara is not:
If something in your life needs medical attention, please see a qualified professional. Sohlara works best alongside that care, not instead of it.
Your score is a wellbeing indicator, not a clinical diagnosis. It is built on the three dimensions the World Health Organization uses to describe burnout, and it is designed to help you see patterns and track change over time.
A high score does not diagnose a condition, and a low score does not rule one out. If you are worried about your health, your score is a useful thing to bring to a professional, not a substitute for seeing one.
On plans that include them, sessions are delivered by independent, licensed therapists and nutritionists. That is real professional care, provided within each professional's own licence and scope of practice. Your clinical relationship for those sessions is with them.
Everything outside those sessions, the app, the score and the practices, remains a wellbeing service as described above.
If you are in immediate danger, thinking about harming yourself, or in any kind of emergency, do not wait for Sohlara. Contact your local emergency services, or a crisis helpline in your country, straight away. If you can, reach out to someone you trust as well. You deserve real support, right now, from people trained to give it.
Sohlara is not monitored for emergencies and cannot provide crisis support. Your safety comes first, always.
Please consider speaking to a doctor or mental health professional if you notice things like:
Reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness. Sohlara can sit alongside that help, but it is not a replacement for it.
Using the Sohlara app or reading its content does not create a doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship between you and Sohlara. Such a relationship exists only with a licensed professional you are matched with, and only for the sessions they provide.
We will always be honest about what we can and cannot do. We build on published science, we do not make miracle claims, and we will never pretend a wellbeing tool is a substitute for the care you deserve. If Sohlara is ever not the right fit for what you need, we would rather tell you than keep you.
